Morocco eSIM: data from the moment you're off the ferry or the plane
Morocco is outside EU roaming, and around the Strait your phone can latch onto a Moroccan network before you've even boarded. With a data eSIM you pay up front for what you'll use there, at a fixed price.

Why use an eSIM in Morocco?
We'll be honest with you: with Morocco, a roaming bill can arrive without you ever leaving Spain. In Tarifa, Algeciras, Ceuta or Melilla the strongest mast is sometimes across the Strait, and if data roaming is on your phone connects to it without asking. Morocco isn't part of EU roaming, so that data is billed as international, and some plans charge several euros per megabyte. With a Morocco eSIM your data there is paid for up front. Your Spanish line stays with mobile data off, and WhatsApp keeps your usual number.
Coverage — Morocco
Morocco has three mobile networks and 4G across almost the whole country. In Tangier, Tetouan, Rabat, Casablanca, Fez and Marrakech you're fine, on the motorways too. In the Atlas, coverage is often better than people expect. Out in the desert, away from the towns, is where it can drop: some camps have Wi-Fi and some don't.

The best option for your trip
If you drive across in summer to see family, the eSIM saves you buying a Moroccan SIM with your passport in hand the moment you arrive. Install it at home on your Wi-Fi and switch the data on when you disembark. And if you already have a Moroccan line from earlier trips that works fine, keep it: we're not going to sell you something you don't need.
