Fibre in Fuengirola: coverage, operators and what it costs
Fuengirola has one of the highest concentrations of foreign residents on the Costa del Sol, and fibre demand here reflects that: 80,000 registered residents plus a floating population of long-stay expats, winter residents and remote workers. Our shop is on Av. de los Boliches, so most of what we know about fibre in this town we learned across a counter rather than from a coverage map.
Fibre coverage by neighbourhood and urbanisation
Fibre coverage in Fuengirola is effectively total. The operators with the best reach on their own network are Movistar, which has the oldest and most extensive footprint, and MasMovil, which runs its own network plus wholesale access to Movistar's. Simyo and HitsMobile ride on Orange and MasMovil respectively. The exceptions are the outlying urbanisations — the higher parts of Carvajal, and El Higuerón — where availability is decided by the exact address rather than the street. We check that for you before anything is signed.
Support in Fuengirola — a person, not a call centre
The shop is at Av. de los Boliches, 4, in the middle of Los Boliches and five minutes on foot from the Renfe Cercanías station. We work in Spanish, English, German, Finnish and Swedish. The part that matters more than the first conversation: if you need to report a fault or cancel something a year from now, you speak to the same person, in the same language. That is the wall most people actually hit — not signing up, but getting help six months later. If you do not have an NIE or a Spanish bank account yet, our Expat plans do not require either.
