China eSIM — Access Google, WhatsApp, and Instagram without a VPN
Traveling to China without Gmail or Google Maps can be a headache. Our eSIM routes traffic through an international gateway, which typically lets you reach your usual apps without setting up a VPN.

Why use an eSIM in China?
The Great Firewall blocks Google, Meta, X, YouTube, and dozens more services when you connect through a mainland Chinese network. International roaming eSIMs like ours work differently: your traffic exits through a gateway outside mainland China, which in practice gives you back access to the apps you normally travel with. It is the simplest way to avoid being cut off when you land at Pudong.
Coverage — China
4G coverage across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Xi'an. 5G available in most tier-1 cities. The eSIM also works on high-speed (Gaotie) trains between major cities, with brief tunnel dips. Rural areas in inland provinces (Gansu, inner Yunnan) may be 3G only.

The best option for your trip
China rewards the prepared traveler — an eSIM saves you the three hours of setting up a VPN at midnight in a Beijing hotel, and lets you book a DiDi, check maps, and send photos home from minute one. Small heads-up: pre-download Google Translate offline before flying, in case the network dips at any point.
